1What This Policy Covers

HYTE Technologies, Inc. (“HYTE”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides this Policy to explain what personal information we collect when you visit hyte.io (the “Site”), why we collect it, and what choices you have.

This Policy covers the public website only. It does not cover:

  • Customer data. Information our customers send us during support, consulting, or managed services work, including message payloads, broker configurations, logs, and diagnostic files. We handle that data on the customer’s instructions under their services agreement and data processing terms.
  • The customer portal. Use of portal.hyte.io is governed by the customer’s services agreement.

Customers can request our data processing terms and current subprocessor list at legal@hyte.io.

2Who We Are

HYTE Technologies, Inc., 3824 Cedar Springs Road, Suite 430, Dallas, Texas 75219, United States. Privacy questions: legal@hyte.io or 214-442-1232.

3Information We Collect

The Site collects little. There are two ways information reaches us.

You give it to us. When you subscribe to the newsletter, submit the contact form, request a demo, or place an order, we collect what that form asks for: your name, business email address, and depending on the form, your company, job title, phone number, and message. If you place an order we also collect billing contact details.

Your browser sends it automatically. Like most websites, ours records your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, referring pages, and timestamps. Google Analytics records similar information, described in Section 5.

If you meet with us after contacting us through the Site, we record and transcribe the meeting so we have an accurate record of what was discussed. We tell you at the start of the meeting. You can ask us not to record, before or during the meeting, and we will not record.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as government identifiers, precise location, or health data, and we ask that you not send it. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our systems. We receive confirmation of payment and billing contact details only.

4How We Use It

  • To answer your inquiry, schedule a demo, or fulfill an order.
  • To send the newsletter and occasional updates, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
  • To understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
  • To keep the Site secure and investigate misuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax, and audit obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use information collected through the Site to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5Cookies and Analytics

When you first visit the Site, we ask which cookies you accept. You can change your choice at any time through the Manage Cookies control in the footer.

Necessary cookies keep the Site working, including security and session handling. These are always on.

Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics when you accept them. Google Analytics tells us how visitors find and move through the Site. We use it in aggregate to improve content and performance, not to build profiles of individuals.

We run search advertising through Google Ads with conversion tracking, which tells us that an ad led to a visit or an inquiry. We do not use remarketing or audience targeting, and we do not share information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refusing analytics cookies does not stop you from using the Site.

6Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only as follows:

RecipientWhy
SquarespaceHosts the Site, processes form submissions and orders, and delivers our newsletter
GoogleAnalytics and search advertising conversion measurement
Payment processorProcesses card payments for orders
Professional advisersLawyers, accountants, insurers, and auditors, under confidentiality obligations
Authorities and legal partiesWhere required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property
A buyer or successorIn a merger, financing, or sale of assets, with notice where the law requires

These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal information from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

7How Long We Keep It, and How We Protect It

We keep information only as long as we need it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Inquiry and demo records are kept for 24 months after our last contact. Meeting recordings and transcripts are kept for the same period as the inquiry or engagement they relate to. Order and billing records are kept for seven years to meet tax and audit obligations. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

We maintain an information security program aligned to ISO/IEC 27001, including access controls, encryption in transit, logging, and vendor security review. No website is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and regulators where the law requires.

8Your Choices and Rights

Whatever state or country you are in, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete it, unless we are required to keep it.
  • Provide it in a portable format.
  • Stop sending you marketing, which you can also do from any newsletter link.

Email legal@hyte.io. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming you control the email address involved, and respond within 45 days. If we decline, you can appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line, and we will respond to the appeal within 60 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Contact us and we will honor any right the law gives you.

9Children

The Site is a business site for professionals. Under our Terms of Use you may not use it unless you are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email legal@hyte.io and we will delete it.

10Other Sites

The Site links to third-party sites, including the Apache ActiveMQ project. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

11Changes

We may update this Policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. For material changes we will post a notice on the Site before the change takes effect.
